Uña de Gato (Cat's Claw) is a shrub or climbing liana natural of the Peruvian forest (up to 800 m.a.s.l.)
Its height goes up to 30 m. (100 ft) height. The stems reach approximately 30 cm (12 inchs) thickness, the thorns are shaped like a little bull's horn. Sheets are short, the petiole is 6 to 12 cm length and has an ovoid or elliptical form.
The full growth of this plant takes about 20 years.
